a friend of mine was the victim of a hate crime.
he was walking to school and heard someone say "hey," behind him.
when he turned around, the guy hit him in the face with a brick and ran.
we can only assume it's because he is middle eastern.
right now he is in the hospital with a probably-broken jaw and a split lip.
this is ridiculous.
